Growing up in a community and culture where hair was always a topic of discussion, Berenice Slater struggled to be defined by what was perceived to be ‘good hair’. Upon research, she discovered that everyone has good hair—provided they understand their hair type and how to care for it. Her curiosity about all things hair sparked a deep passion for nurturing and understanding her own hair. This journey revealed that hair is best nurtured from the inside out, highlighting the importance of a comprehensive hair care regimen alongside a quality hair vitamin supplement.

With the help of her sister Jo-Ann, Berenice co-founded Haircelerate, a brand born out of intention and love for their crowning glory. Over time, Haircelerate has evolved with the times, embracing the natural beauty of all hair types and rejecting harmful chemicals and products that can damage hair health. We now champion protective styling as a way to maintain strength and promote growth while celebrating beauty and self-expression.
